Fund food-garden kits for families and communities. Every kit is a working garden, not a once-off food parcel.
A food parcel is gone in a week. A Harvesting Hope kit gives a household drought-resistant seed, a gravity-fed bucket drip system that uses about 70% less water, and organic bio-fertiliser for depleted soil. Families harvest leafy greens from about four weeks and save their own seed for the next season.
The field team delivers every kit and trains the families on site. No farming experience is needed, and the garden fits in about 24 m², which can be a backyard, school ground or community plot.
One complete kit: seeds, water system and bio-fertiliser. One family fully equipped.
Three full kits plus field training for a community group, school or church garden.
Bulk kits for the communities you choose, with B-BBEE recognition and branded impact reports available.
You choose how many kits to fund. Each R1,500 kit gives one household drought-resistant seed, a gravity-fed bucket drip-irrigation system and organic bio-fertiliser. The field team delivers the kits and trains the families. Branded impact reports are available for businesses.
One complete kit costs R1,500 and equips one family. The R5,000 Community Pack funds three kits plus field training for a community group, school or church garden. Larger programmes are quoted on request.
B-BBEE recognition is available for corporate partners. Talk to the team about your programme and what documentation your verification agency needs.
No. Harvesting Hope is a social enterprise, not a registered NPO or PBO, so it does not issue Section 18A tax certificates.
Leafy greens can be harvested from about four weeks and most crops within six to eight weeks. Within about 90 days a household has a self-sustaining garden and saves its own seed for the next season.
Harvesting Hope is based near Rustenburg in the North West and is currently planting with families in Alexandra Township, Gauteng. Kits can be delivered across South Africa.
